Type Training Examinations

The Type Training Examinations have two components, a theoretical and practical assessment, the theoretical training is optional and the practical training is not required.

The Type Training Examinations Level I has the aim to verify the maintenance technicians and/or engineer’s technical knowledge in a particular aircraft or component. Although this examination level can be performed by any technician and/or engineer apart of his/her category, Level I examinations are primarily intended for Technicians with Aircraft Maintenance License – C Category, after they have already taken a Type Training Course or a Type Training Examination Level III.

The Type Training Examinations Level III has the aim to verify the maintenance technicians and/or engineer’s technical knowledge in a particular aircraft or component, removal/installation of components, as well as the procedures for resolution of faults in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.

LASFORMAÇÃO-MTO is certified to perform the following Type Training Examinations:

• Helicopter Eurocopter AS350 B, BA, B1 e B2 – Eurocopter AS350 (Turbomeca Arriel 1) – Level I and III, B1.3 Subcategory and C Category;
• Aircraft Air Tractor AT-400/500/600 Series (PWC PT6) – Level I and III, B1.1 Subcategory and C Category .
